The No. 23 Arizona women's golf team tees it up today in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle, shooting to improve on its less-than-impressive performance in its season opener.

Wildcats head coach Greg Allen will be putting three freshmen in the lineup to join senior Cassandra Kirkland and redshirt senior Lani Elston-Marshall. Arizona competes against teams from 13 other schools across the country, including ASU, Oregon, UNLV and Pepperdine.

The tournament is held at one of the best courses in the nation, the Sahalee Country Club, where former Wildcat Erica Blasberg headed a team victory in 2003.

Last time out, Allen's squad finished 14th out of 15 teams at the Mason Rudolph Championships Sept. 23-25, with no player finishing higher than 44th.

Freshman Amanda Wilson will be making her varsity debut, as Lauren Espinosa and Sommer Scholl both competed in the Mason Rudolph Championships.
