Two students were arrested for smoking marijuana in Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., just before 10 p.m. Saturday, reports stated.
When police arrived, they noticed a towel was stuffed under the door, and there was a strong odor of popcorn, reports stated.
Police asked the students if they had been smoking, and the female student stared at the officer without responding.
The officer said he believed they had been smoking and asked the female student if she wanted to show him where it was, reports stated.
The student handed the officer a small zippered bag she removed from her purse that contained about 12.9 grams of marijuana, reports stated.
Police asked the student how she and the other student had smoked the marijuana and she said they had used a pipe, which she handed to the officer, reports stated.
Police also found a paper clip with marijuana residue on the student's desk, a pen with residue in the bag and burnt marijuana ash on top of an empty gallon bottle of vodka in the trash, reports stated.
The students were cited and released and the marijuana and paraphernalia were placed into evidence.
A student lost his $250 cell phone sometime late Saturday night at Boston Market, 1903 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
The student said he arrived at the restaurant at 9 p.m. and made a call on his cell phone, reports stated.
He said he thought he put the phone back in his pocket after the call, but discovered as he was leaving that he no longer had the phone, reports stated.
The student searched the area but was unable to find his phone, reports stated.
He said he did not believe the phone was stolen, reports stated.
A student was arrested for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia after 6 p.m. Sunday at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
Police responded to a report of the smell of burning marijuana coming from the room. When police arrived the student was in the room with the door open, and a resident assistant was standing in the doorway, reports stated.
The student permitted police enter the room and they asked the student why there was an odor of marijuana coming from the room, reports stated.
The student said he did not know and that he hadn't smoked anything, reports stated.
The officer said he could smell unburned marijuana, and the student admitted he had been smoking marijuana but not in the room, reports stated.
The student told police he had a little marijuana and removed a small amber pill bottle from a drawer under his refrigerator. The bottle was labeled "Medical Cannabis," reports stated.
Police searched the room and found a glass water pipe in the student's desk drawer. The student told police it wasn't his but would not say who it belonged to, reports stated.
Officers also found a rolled up dollar bill with residue from a white substance on it, and the student said he had no idea what it was or what the white residue was. There was not enough of the white residue to test, reports stated.
Police found eight used syringes in the drawer where the pill bottle was, and the student claimed he used them to inject steroids, which he no longer does, reports stated.
There was a baggie in the bathroom sink and a small amount of marijuana residue on the counter. A towel was stuffed under the adjoining door, and a sweatshirt was wrapped around the sprinkler head in the bathroom, reports stated.
The student admitted the sweatshirt was his, and police also found burnt marijuana pieces around the bathroom and found the odor was strongest there, reports stated.
The student was cited and released and marijuana and paraphernalia were confiscated, reports stated.
A student's $180 mountain bike was reported missing from the bike racks south of Apache-Santa Cruz Residence, 1440 E. Fifth St., sometime Sunday, reports stated.
The student said he locked his bike with a cable lock to the bike racks and last saw it at 2 a.m. When he returned at 5:30 p.m. the lock was cut and the bike was missing, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
