UA director inducted into hall of fame
UA faculty member Colin Kaltenbach's 25 years of administrative leadership in two states were commemorated with a national award last week.
The director of the Arizona Agricultural Research Station at the UA was inducted Thursday into the U.S. Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research Education and Extension Service Hall of Fame in Washington, D.C.
Kaltenbach has served "as a liaison for numerous cooperative efforts in agriculture on a state, regional and national level," according to a press release.
Kaltenbach's UA colleagues nominated him for the honor during his 16th year at the university.
"It was a series of things over the last 25 or 26 years (that earned the honor)" Kaltenbach said.
