Club hosts Halloween party
The UA United Methodist Wesley Foundation is hosting a Halloween party tonight for underprivileged, at-risk children in Tucson. Students are welcome to attend the free event to help out with events like bobbing for apples, tours through a haunted house and face painting.
The party will be held at the First United Methodist Church on the corner of North Park Avenue and East Fourth Street. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event ends at 7 p.m.
Lecture focuses on understanding disabilities
The Disability Resource Center is presenting "Disability Studies: Why It Matters" in a faculty fellows series today.
Sue Kroeger, director of the DRC, is the featured speaker who will discuss the marked shift in the public's understanding of disabilities within the last 20 years.
The event starts at noon in the Gallagher Theater in the Student Union Memorial Center.

New Web site features UA maps
A new Web site "The UA Walking for Health Pathways" featuring maps, complete with directions and mileage, has been created to outline the north, central and south sides of campus for walking. In addition to route information, the site includes walks to exotic plants, trees and historic sites around the UA.
Users can also access information about the benefits of walking, use of pedometers, weight management tips and healthy eating.
