Technology fair on UA Mall

The Computer and Technology Store, a division of UofA Bookstores, is hosting a technology fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today on the UA Mall.

Students and other members of the campus community can participation the exciting annual event.

Departments associated with the advancement of technology are contributing to the fair.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase cutting-edge research projects and events that are happening within certain areas of expertise.

Free pool tournament in Games Room

There will be a free pool tournament today in the Games Room of the Student Union Memorial Center with prizes, raffles and more.

The tournament is to promote interest in billiards and to promote the Association of College Unions International Regional Qualifier Tournament that will be held next week.

The Regional Qualifier Tournament will allow some of the UA's best to go on to compete with students from schools all over the country.

UA employee artwork on display at Museum of Art

A UA artist received the prestigious MacArthur Fellow award in 2004, often called the "Genius Award."

Judy Pfaff, primarily a sculptor, creates two- and three-dimensional work that is complex and profuse.

Pfaff has mounted more than 100 solo exhibitions and installations.

An exhibit of Pfaff's prints are on view at the UA Museum of Art through Dec. 31.
