Methamphetamine impact discussion topic at TCC
The Greater Tucson Leadership group plans to present a luncheon today at the Tucson Convention Center addressing the problem of methamphetamine in the Tucson community.
A panel of five representatives from the Meth Free Alliance will be on hand to discuss the issue and to encourage action in the community to fight the abuse of the drug.
The discussion is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 for the general public or $25 for students. Tickets can be purchased at www.tucsonleadership.org.
The luncheon is organized and hosted by Greater Tucson Leadership, a local nonprofit group that works to foster and support quality leadership in the Tucson region through educational programs and community events that inform and motivate action.
Last day for GPSC polling
Today is the last day for graduate and professional students to fill out a poll about graduate student representation on campus.
The Graduate and Professional Student Council will use the results to measure graduate student opinion and concern regarding how they are represented.
Those interested can go to a polling station from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside of the Canyon Bistro Café at the Student Union Memorial Center.

Free skin cancer screening
Students can get a free skin cancer screening today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nurse practitioners and a dermatologist plan to be available for brief screening for students, faculty and staff on the third floor of the Campus Health Service, Room D304.
Poster session today
Students in chemistry 104b plan to present the results of their semester research projects in a poster session today. The posters will be on display on the South Patio of the Henry Koffler building from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
