A man was booked into Pima County Jail the night of Nov. 18 after police found him sleeping in the yard of an abandoned house at 1228 N. Santa Rita Ave., reports stated.

The man had been warned before about sleeping in the yard.

Police did a records check and saw the man had a warrant out for his arrest.

The man's bike, backpack and clothes were placed into evidence for safekeeping, reports stated.


A laser printer, computer, answering machine and radio were stolen sometime between Nov. 23 and Monday from the Shantz building, 1200 E. South Campus Drive, reports stated.

A UA employee told police the equipment was last seen around 4 p.m. on Nov. 23 and said it was discovered missing around 7 a.m. on Monday.

The employee said about eight students have access to the area where the items were reported missing.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


The sidewalk and walls of the Gross Gallery, 1031 E. Olive Road, were marked with graffiti sometime between Sunday and Monday, reports stated.

An employee said the walls and sidewalk were fine around 3 p.m. on Sunday and said the graffiti was found around 7 a.m. on Monday.

The writing accused the gallery director of nepotism.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


The driver's side door lock on a student's car was damaged sometime between Monday and Tuesday while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1832 E. First St., reports stated.

The student said he parked his car around 2:45 p.m. on Monday and said he returned around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday to find the damage.

It looked like someone had inserted something into the lock in an attempt to open the door.

There was no other damage to the car.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man was booked into Pima County Jail on Tuesday night after police pulled him over for running a stop sign at North Park Avenue and East James E. Rogers Way, reports stated.

Police ran a records check on the man and discovered he had a suspended license and three warrants out for his arrest.

The man's car was parked in a parking lot, and the keys were given to one of the man's friends, reports stated.


A student's $89 red mountain bike was reported missing Tuesday from the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bike with a cable lock around 11:30 a.m. and came back 20 minutes later to find the bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A toilet paper dispenser was damaged sometime before Tuesday in the men's restroom in the Transit Center, 1610 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

A UA employee told police the plastic cover on the dispenser had been broken and thrown into the toilet.

Facilities Management was contacted about the damage, reports stated.


A homeless camp was discovered Monday behind the Guadalajara Summer School, 1521 E. Helen St., reports stated.

An employee said she had found two magazines and a doormat. A garbage can had been moved to provide a makeshift wall.

Police threw the magazines away and told the employee to call if anything seemed suspicious, reports stated.


A student's sea foam green bike was stolen sometime between Nov. 22 and Monday from Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The student said she locked her bike with a U-Lock and said she had last seen it around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 22. The student said she came back around 7:30 a.m. on Monday to find the bike gone.

The bike had a white basket on the front and flowers on it.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
