Graffiti was spray-painted on the top level of the Park Avenue Parking Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., sometime on Jan. 10, reports stated.

Parking and Transportation employees discovered "MPX420" spray-painted in orange paint and contacted police.

One of the employees advised police that he knew from his college experiences that the symbol signified smoking marijuana, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A Social Sciences employee reported suspicious activity shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, reports stated.

The employee told police a male student entered the Social Sciences building, 1145 E. South Campus Drive, and spoke to her about enrolling in a linguistics class.

The employee explained to the student he was in the wrong building and told him he needed to go to the admissions office, reports stated.

After being told this, the student reportedly became agitated and demanded to be let into the class.

The employee told police the student said he would not leave until she enrolled him in the class like he had requested, reports stated.

After being asked to leave several times, the student reportedly hit his hand on the top of the front desk and left the building.

The employee asked police to document the incident in case the student returned, reports stated.

Police advised the employee of the case number and told her to contact them if the student returned.


A UA custodian reported finding graffiti on the wall of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., reports stated.

A large swastika and a happy face with a mustache were painted with black spray paint on the east wall of the building, reports stated.

The custodian told police the graffiti must have been painted sometime between 11 a.m. Jan. 10 and 5:45 a.m. Jan. 11.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man was arrested for loitering Jan. 11 after campus security officers reported skateboarders doing tricks at the Park Student Union, 615 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The campus security officers did a records check on the man and discovered that he had been red-flagged for trespassing on university property during a previous incident, reports stated.

Police arrived on the scene and explained the UA policy on skateboarding to the man, reports stated.

Police told the man that his skateboard was going to be confiscated and he could pick it up through Parking and Transportation Services, reports stated.

The man informed police he was not going to let them take his skateboard and reportedly became non-compliant.

Police told the man he was under arrest for loitering and began to put him in handcuffs, but the man began struggling before the handcuffs were on, reports stated.

Police placed the man on the ground and finished handcuffing him, reports stated.

The skateboard was confiscated and placed into property, reports stated.

The man was cited and released, reports stated.


A student who had lost her cell phone Thursday contacted police stating the person who had her phone refused to give it back, reports stated.

The student lost her phone near the Chemistry Building, 1306 E. University Blvd., on Jan. 7, reports stated.

The student had a friend call her phone and a female answered, reports stated.

The student's friend told the female that the phone had been lost and they wanted it back.

The female said she had paid $50 for the phone and refused to return it unless they paid for it.

Police told the student and her friend to contact the University of Arizona Police Department if the phone holder is contacted again.


A student's olive green beach cruiser was stolen sometime between Jan. 11 and Thursday while it was at Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 940 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police he had locked his bicycle to the bike rack around 8 p.m. on Jan. 11. The student said when he returned at 7:30 am. Thursday, his bike was missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
