Two students called police Tuesday morning after a man followed them to their class at McClelland Hall, 130 N. Helen St., and asked one of them if she wanted to go fool around, reports stated.
When police arrived, the students said the man had come up to them while they were getting on the elevator. The man began talking to the students and told one of them she was really hot, reports stated.
The man then followed the students off the elevator and sat next to them outside of their classroom.
The man then got on his hands and knees, got close to one of the students and asked if she wanted to go fool around, reports stated.
The student told the man no and the man left.
The students told police the man had made them feel very uncomfortable, reports stated.
A man was arrested after he was found sleeping on a bench early Monday morning at the Science Library, 744 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.
When police arrived a custodian pointed out the man. Police woke the man up and asked him why he was there.
The man said he was there waiting to take the UA to court, reports stated.
Police ran a records check on the man and saw he had a warrant out for his arrest.
The man was booked into Pima County Jail and his backpack was placed into property for safekeeping, reports
stated.
A student was taken to University Medical Center for alcohol poisoning Monday night after drinking 12 shots of vodka at a dorm and walking to the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority, reports stated.
When police arrived the student was sitting on the floor and not responding. The student could not stand and had vomited on herself, reports stated.
A resident of the sorority told police that while the student was walking to the sorority, she said she felt ill and dropped to the floor.
The student told police she had taken 12 shots of vodka within a half hour at one of the dorms on campus.
A Code of Conduct was also issued to the student, reports stated.
A student's mountain bike was stolen Sept. 15, from the Mathematics building, 617 N. Santa Rita, reports stated.
The student said she had locked her bike with a cable lock around 11 a.m. and when she returned an hour later the bike was gone.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A police aide saw a custodian put a keyboard into the trashcan Monday night at the Space Sciences building, 1629 E. University Blvd. and called police, reports stated.
When police arrived the aide said the custodian had acted suspicious after putting the keyboard in the trashcan.
The custodian told police he put the keyboard in the trash because it had been in a trashcan in someone's office.
Police were unable to contact the person whose office it was and left a message.
Police then took the keyboard out of the trashcan and put it into property for safe keeping, reports stated.
A student was cited for stealing a $43.25 "Writing as Revision," book from the UofA Bookstore, 1209 E. University Blvd., Sept. 15, reports stated.
When police arrived the student told them she had gotten the book downstairs. The student said she put the book in her bag because it was too heavy to carry.
The student said when she got upstairs she realized she was late for a meeting and forgot about the book.
The student was cited and released, reports stated.
Someone stole a student's $160 cell phone and $65 CD player Saturday from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
The student told police he left the cell phone and CD player on a desk on the third floor around 2:30 p.m. while he went to get a book. The student said when he returned 10 minutes later his things were gone.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A man was cited for trespassing Monday morning at Starbucks, 802 E. University Blvd., after police told him to leave and came back to find him still there, reports stated.
Police contacted the man earlier that morning and told him to leave and not come back.
The man told police he walked back into Starbucks after police had told him not to return.
The manager of Starbucks said this was a continuing problem and said she wanted to press charges.
The man was cited and released. He was told not to return to Starbucks again, reports stated.
