A student's $500 orange mountain bike was stolen Jan. 12 from the Marroney Theatre, 1025 N. Olive Road, reports stated.

The student told police she locked her bike with a cable lock around 10:30 a.m. and said she returned an hour later to find the bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $80 teal mountain bike was stolen sometime between Jan. 9 and Jan. 11 from Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student said she locked her bike around 5 p.m. on Jan. 9 with a cable lock and said she returned around 3 p.m. on Jan. 11 to find her bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A glass pane in a door at the Modern Languages building, 1423 E. University Blvd., was cracked Jan. 12, reports stated.

When police arrived around 10 p.m. a UA employee had already taped the glass on the door and placed caution tape on both sides of the door to prevent people from using it.

The employee said the cracked pane was discovered around 4 p.m.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $700 black and white road bike was stolen sometime between Dec. 14, 2005 and Jan. 11 from La Aldea Residence Hall, 825 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police he placed the bike in a secure area around midnight on Dec. 14 and said he noticed the bike was gone around 7 a.m. on Jan. 11.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


An old mailbox and a fake surveillance camera were stolen the morning of Jan. 11 from the back of the Pima County Cooperative Extension building, 4210 N. Campbell Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived a UA employee said the fake surveillance camera and the mailbox were last seen around 12:30 a.m. and said she noticed the items were missing around 8:30 a.m.

The employee said there have been problems with people taking plants and other items from the building.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $150 red and yellow road bike was stolen sometime between Dec. 26, 2005 and Jan. 9 from Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police he locked the bike with two cable locks around midnight on Dec. 26 and said when he came back around 7 p.m. on Jan. 9, his bike was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Two men were booked into Pima County Jail Jan. 11 after they were pulled over at the intersection of North Fremont Avenue and East Adams Street, reports stated.

Around 6:30 p.m. police noticed the car the men were in had an expired temporary license plate and pulled the car over.

When police approached the car, there was a man in the back seat with his pants not completely pulled up and a woman in the front seat.

The driver of the car seemed very nervous and acted like he was looking for something.

The driver then admitted that he didn't have a license or any insurance. Police then discovered that the date on the temporary license plate had been changed.

Police did a records check on the driver and discovered he had warrants out for his arrest.

Police did a records check on the man who had been in the back seat and discovered he also had warrants out for his arrest, reports stated.

Police then found a metal pipe in the back seat of the car with residue in it and a glass pipe in the middle console.

Eight small baggies were also found in a tool belt in the back seat.

The driver admitted the baggies were his and said he used the baggies to carry change in, reports stated.

The woman said the pipes and the baggies were not hers. The driver then gave the woman money so that she could take a bus home.

The driver was arrested for warrants, driving without a license or insurance, changing the expiration date on the temporary license plate and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The passenger was arrested for warrants including possession of drug paraphernalia, reports stated.
