A UA employee's briefcase was stolen Tuesday from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd. and later found at the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
When police arrived the UA employee said he left his briefcase in the employee-only area under his desk around 11:30 a.m. when he went to lunch.
The employee said when he returned at 4 p.m. the briefcase was gone.
The employee said among the things in his briefcase was an electronic organizer and several CDs.
The employee said the employee-only room had been unlocked all day, reports stated.
Around 9 p.m. police were told the briefcase had been found at the union. The only thing missing from the briefcase was the electronic organizer, reports stated.
A student living in Sky View Apartments found marijuana in his bathroom Tuesday night and called police, reports stated.
When police arrived the student said the marijuana wasn't his. The student said he believed it belonged to someone else living in the room.
Police asked another resident if they could search the room, and he said yes.
Police found marijuana residue, ashes and seeds in the bathroom, reports stated.
The resident told police it was not his and said he didn't know who it belonged to.
The other two residents of the room were not there.
Police wiped up the ashes and residue and flushed the seeds down the toilet.
The hall director told police he would investigate the two other residents, reports stated.
A manager of Panda Express, 615 N. Park Ave., got into an argument with an ex-employee and her husband Tuesday night, reports stated.
When police arrived the manager said the ex-employee and her husband wanted her to sign some papers.
The manager told the ex-employee that she didn't sign things before reading them.
The manager said the ex-employee and her husband then became rude and left.
The manager said she did not want the ex-employee or her husband to come back.
Police called the ex-employee and her husband and told them not to return to Panda Express or they could be cited for trespassing, reports stated.
Someone broke two windows in the Sigma Delta Tau sorority house, 1731 E. Second St. sometime between Sept. 24 and Monday, reports stated.
It looked like someone had thrown a rock at the window.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A student's $70 bright yellow handicap permit was stolen from her car Saturday while her car was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1455 E. Sixth St., reports stated.
The student said she parked her car around 11:30 a.m., and when she returned around 4:30 p.m. the permit was gone.
The student told police there was no glass around the area and that her car was still locked.
The student said she believed someone had used some kind of unlocking device to get her permit.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A woman saw two men steal a temporary stop sign Monday night on North Vine Avenue and East Second Street, reports stated.
Police searched the area but couldn't find anyone matching the two men's description.
The city of Tucson loaned a stop sign to UAPD until the other one could be replaced, reports stated.
Police sprayed Mace at a man and a student who were fighting on North Cherry Avenue and East Drachman Street Tuesday after being warned several times to stop fighting, reports stated.
Police saw a big group on the corner and saw that the student and the man were fighting. Police told the man and the student to stop and they didn't.
Police took out a Taser and pointed it at the man's chest saying, "Taser, Taser, Taser."
Police also took out O.C. spray and aimed it at the man and the student.
Police warned the man and the student to stop fighting, reports stated.
Police then sprayed the O.C. spray into the man and the student's face.
The man then stopped fighting and went to the ground, reports stated.
The student moved toward the man. Police then pointed the Taser at the student, and the student went to the ground.
The man told police that his face and eyes were burning. The student also said his face was burning, reports stated.
The man and the student both said they didn't need medical attention. Neither one wanted to press charges, reports stated.
