Someone stole the window off of a student's Jeep wrangler between Friday and Sunday while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1026 N. Vine St., reports stated.

When police arrived the student said she had parked her Jeep around 5:30 p.m. on Friday and when she returned around noon on Sunday the window was gone.

There was no other damage to the Jeep and nothing was stolen, reports stated.

The student's Jeep had a soft top and the window had been unzipped.

The student said it would cost $250 to replace the window, reports stated.


Someone broke the sliding glass door on two students' balcony Sunday night at Arizona Commons, 931 N. Euclid Ave., reports stated.

The two students told police they had been downstairs around 10 p.m. when they heard a loud noise. The students said they went upstairs to find the glass on their door broken.

It looked like the door had been shot with a BB gun or slingshot, reports stated.

Police looked around the apartment and couldn't find what had broken the window.

It looked like someone could have shot at the door from the sidewalk, the street, or from a nearby garage.

Police searched garage and didn't find anything suspicious.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student was arrested for false reporting to police and contributing to the delinquency/dependency of a minor early Saturday morning after he was found with his girlfriend who had been reported missing in Illinois, reports stated.

Illinois police called UAPD and told them they believed the girl, who had been reported missing by her parents, was with the student.

Illinois police said the student was a resident of La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

Police went to the student's dorm and he was not there. Police then called the student's cell phone.

The student said he had contacted the girl's parents. The student said he and the girl were in Scottsdale.

Police told the student to pull over so that Scottsdale police could locate him.

The student then admitted that he and the girl were still in Tucson. The student said they were at a hotel near the airport.

The student and his girlfriend then went to UAPD. Police took the girl to the Open Inn Center for Juvenile Alternatives.

The girl's parents said they would contact the center and pick up the girl, reports stated.


Someone damaged a microwave in the Harvill building, 1103 E. Second St., early Saturday morning by putting a notebook in it, reports stated.

Police were unlocking the building when they smelled smoke. Police went to the concessions room on the first floor.

Police discovered that someone had microwaved the notebook until it was melted and caught fire, reports stated.

The notebook was charred and a lot of smoke was coming from the microwave.

The door to the concessions room had been left unlocked.

There was no other damage to the room.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Someone smeared feces on the wall in a men's restroom in the Health Library, 1350 N. Warren Road, sometime between Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, reports stated.

A UA employee told police the restroom, which was on the second floor had been clean around 3 p.m. on Oct. 13. The feces were discovered around 3 a.m. the next day.

The custodial staff cleaned and disinfected the bathroom.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student tried to kiss another student during Midnight Madness Friday night at the McKale Center, 1721 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

One of the students told police she had met the other student in one of her classes and had started hanging out with him.

The student said the other student started to get controlling and would get upset if she didn't call him when he told her to.

The student said the other student would also try to kiss her and hold her hand in public even though she told him not to.

The student said she stopped calling and hanging out with the other student and he got really upset.

The student said she had run into the other student during Midnight Madness and he tried to kiss her.

The student said she did not feel threatened by the other student and said she just wanted to document the incident, reports stated.
