A woman was arrested for drunk driving early Wednesday morning after police pulled her over for running a stop sign at East North Campus Drive and North Park Avenue, reports stated.

Police pulled the woman's car over around 12:30 a.m. and noticed the woman had watery eyes. The woman's speech seemed normal, reports stated.

The woman told police that she had a cold and was taking NyQuil.

The woman admitted to drinking a long island iced tea a few minutes before she was stopped.

The woman agreed to perform a field sobriety test. She was having trouble keeping her balance and pointed to her boots and said, "I can't do this," reports stated.

Police let the woman take off her boots and take the test. The woman again had trouble keeping her balance and said, "I can't do this."

The woman was taken to the University of Arizona Police Department and given a Breathalyzer test. She blew a .163 and a .158, reports stated.

The woman then told police she had been drinking at Frog & Firkin, 874 E. University Blvd., and had been heading to another bar when she was pulled over. The woman said she had been drinking since about 11 p.m. The woman said she had also taken NyQuil around 1 p.m.

The woman was cited for extreme DUI and released, reports stated.


A student reported damage to his car Wednesday and said the car had been damaged Oct. 28 while it was parked in the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived they saw a small tear on the right front bumper of the car. There was also a small dent in on the right front part of the hood.

Police couldn't find any evidence of paint transfer of the car. There was no indication of what had caused the damage.

Police have no suspects of witnesses, reports stated.


A $1,100 silver laptop, a black laptop and a $200 hard drive were stolen Tuesday from two students' room in the Navajo Residence Hall, 1154 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

When police arrived, one of the students said he left the room around 11 a.m. and returned an hour later to find the laptops gone.

The student said it was hard to secure the room door and said you had to pull hard to get it to close. The student said he remembered locking the door but might not have closed it properly.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $450 red mountain bike was stolen Nov. 15 from the Modern Languages building, 1423 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student said he locked his bike with a cable lock around 11 a.m. and returned an hour later to find it gone.

A $250 silver and black mountain bike was stolen Nov. 15 from the Chemistry building, 1306 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The owner of the bike said he locked his bike with a cable lock around 1:30 p.m. and returned around 10:30 p.m. to find it gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man was found with marijuana Tuesday morning after police got a call about someone looking into cars at the University Services Annex building, 220 W. Sixth St., reports stated.

When police arrived, a man said he saw four men looking in cars and thought they might be trying to steal something.

Police found the four men sitting together and smelled marijuana.

When police asked if anyone had been smoking marijuana, one man said, "Yeah," and showed police two burnt marijuana cigarettes.

The man said he was the only one smoking. Police found a black pipe with burnt residue on the man.

They also found a plastic baggie of marijuana in the man's left sock.

A record's check on the man showed that he had a Tucson Police Department warrant out for his arrest.

The man was arrested for the warrant, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.


A $44 security notice sign was torn into four pieces sometime between Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 at the Central Animal Facility building, 1127 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

When police arrived, a UA employee said the sign was torn between 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 13.

The sign was bolted into the brick next to the side entrance. The sign read, "Security Notice: All visitors must report to reception. Security badges must be worn at all times."

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
