A man was arrested for aggravated assault after he trespassed in a student's room, and she found him asleep in her bed in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., at 1:45 a.m. Monday, reports stated.
The student was awakened by being kicked in the face and felt someone in her bed turned the opposite way on top of her blankets, reports stated.
The student slid out of the bed and ran into her suitemate's room to tell them about the man. She returned to the room and shook the man and told him to "get the fuck out of the room," reports stated.
The man did not respond, and the woman left the room again. The student saw the man leave a few minutes later and re-entered her room and awoke her roommate to tell her what had happened.
The students saw there were a black baseball cap, keys and a cell phone in the room that did not belong there. The students called a woman on the phone's recent call list, and she would not tell them whose phone it was, reports stated.
There was a picture of the man on the cell phone as well, reports stated.
The students met with police and went to the room. When exiting the elevator, a man was walking in and the student recognized him as the man from her room and from the phone, reports stated.
Police arrested the man and he refused to answer questions from anyone but "the man in charge," reports stated.
The man was transported to the University of Arizona Police Department and told police he was visiting a friend in the hall, but would not disclose a name. He said he was looking for a bathroom on the floor, reports stated.
He said he did not know how his phone turned up in the student's room and said he could not remember if he did or did not enter a room while looking for the bathroom, reports stated.
The man said he would not assault anyone, especially a female because his sister is a student at the UA, reports stated.
The man's breath smelled like alcohol and his eyes were watery and bloodshot red, but he said he was not under the influence, reports stated.
Samples were taken from the inside of his mouth to run for DNA tests and photographs were taken of him.
He was transported to Pima County Jail.
A student's $5,000 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., sometime Monday morning, reports stated.
The man said the bike was last seen on the north side of the building at 4 a.m., and when he returned to the area at 9:30 a.m. the bike was gone, reports stated.
The man said there is not anyone else authorized to drive the motorcycle, and he had the only two keys in his possession, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A student's car window was shattered while parked at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house, 645 E. University Blvd., sometime earlier this week, reports stated.
The student told police he parked his 1995 Toyota Corolla at 11 p.m. Sunday. When he returned at 11 a.m. Monday he saw the passenger side front window was shattered and broken out of the vehicle, reports stated.
The student said it didn't look like anything was missing from the vehicle. There also did not appear to be any fingerprints on the door of the car.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
