A student was arrested for underage drinking after she locked herself in the bathroom at the Chi Omega Sorority House, 1420 E. First St., before 3 a.m. Sunday, reports stated.

The student locked herself in the lobby bathroom of the residence and would not open the door. The Tucson Fire Department was able to force the door open, reports stated.

When police entered the bathroom, they found the student sitting in a chair directly in front of the toilet, and she had vomited on and around herself, reports stated.

Medics treated the student on scene and transported her to University Medical Center for further medical attention.

Police smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the student's breath. Her eyes were red and watery, and her speech was slurred, reports stated.

The student was cited and released to UMC officials, reports stated.


Police responded to a call from Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., because two students were arguing and had called 911 and then hung up at 4:47 p.m. Saturday, reports stated.

The student told police she and her ex-boyfriend, also a UA student, were arguing in her room. The ex-boyfriend took the student's hand and was hitting himself in the head with it and did the same thing with his own hand, reports stated.

The student said her ex-boyfriend then threatened to call police and tell them she had hit him, so she would be arrested for domestic abuse, reports stated.

The student said she was afraid her ex-boyfriend might hurt himself. The ex-boyfriend had left and should have been waiting outside for a ride, reports stated.

The student did not have any noticeable injuries, and there were no marks, redness or abrasion on her hands. She said she did not require any medical attention, reports stated.

While police were talking to the student, the student's ex-boyfriend called her room. He confirmed the story the student had told police, reports stated.

He said he was not injured and did not require any medical attention and did not have any intention of hurting himself or others, reports stated.

The student's ex-boyfriend did not want police to contact him in person and said he knew it was over and he was not going to have any further contact with the student, reports stated.

Police told the student he was not allowed to return to the residence hall and if he did, he would be arrested. The student said he understood and would not be returning to the hall, reports stated.

The student said she no longer wanted contact with her ex-boyfriend, but it would be hard not to let him back into her life, reports stated.

Neither student wished to press charges. Police recommended the student get an order of protection against the student and she said she would go to Campus Health or the Oasis Center for counseling.


The rear passenger window of a student's Pontiac Grand Prix was broken with a rock while it was parked in a Zone One parking lot, 1009 E. North Campus Dr., early Saturday morning, reports stated.

The student's friend saw two men throw a rock through the student's window between midnight and 2:24 a.m., reports stated.

Police found the vehicle at 2:24 a.m. and left a note on the vehicle for the owner to contact police to make a report. A plastic Kohl's bag was placed on the window to keep the rain out, reports stated.

The unknown men took off running from the parking lot, reports stated.

Police found a rock in the back seat of the student's car.

UAPD searched for the suspects but did not find them, reports stated.


An unidentified male threw a large rock through a $2,000 window on the north side of the Architecture Building, 1040 N. Olive Rd., at 2:47 a.m. Saturday, reports stated.

Several students were working on the first floor of the building when they saw the large rock being thrown through the large window, reports stated.

A student working in the building was grazed by the rock on her hip, reports stated.

No one present was able to see the suspect who threw the rock. UA maintenance was paged to secure the remainder of the pane of glass and ensure no hazard existed for students or faculty, reports stated.

Officers searched for the suspect but were unsuccessful.

Police have no others suspects or witnesses.


An unidentified man broke the windshields of six cars with a baseball bat in the parking lot of Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., at 3:21 a.m. Saturday, reports stated.

The person broke the six $500 windshields and the driver's side window and windshields of two additional cars, reports stated.

The man then got into a black vehicle and drove south towards Sixth Street, reports stated.

A more specific description of the suspect or the vehicle could not be given, reports stated.

Police have no other suspects or witnesses.
