An 18-year-old female student was arrested late Tuesday for having marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her residence hall room.

Police are seeking charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia against Darcy A. Rader, of the Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth Street.

A plastic bag of marijuana, rolling papers, four pipes and other drug items too numerous to name were found in a cloth bag Rader gave to police when they asked if she smoked marijuana. Rader said the bag was left in her room by an anonymous friend.

Rader originally told police there were no drugs in the room and that she had previously been arrested for giving false information to police officers.

Witnesses told police Rader had smoked marijuana in her room and had distributed free samples to people in the hall.
