The Arizona men's basketball team completed its fall recruiting period Tuesday by signing prep forward Stephen Jackson.

Jackson, 6-foot-8, 200 pounds, is from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.

He is the sixth and final recruit to sign with Arizona this signing period.

"Although he is 6-8, he will definitely be a wing player for us," head coach Lute Olson said. "He was considered by most coaches who saw him last summer as one of the three top wing prospects in the nation. His signing is a great way to cap off this recruiting class."

Jackson will join fellow recruits Mike Bibby, Eugene Edgerson, Quynn Tebbs, Justin Wessel and Bennett Davison.

The women's basketball team received letters of intent from three players to attend Arizona next fall.

Guards Reshea Bristol and Tatum Brown will team up with center Felecity Willis on the Wildcats' squad next season. The three will join guard Kate Crane and ChaRon Walker, who signed Nov. 8.

"We feel this is the best recruiting class we've had since I have been at Arizona," head coach Joan Bonvicini said. "It puts us in the right direction, not only in the Pac-10, but nationally. We feel we've done a good job."

The Arizona baseball team signed Dan Tyrell, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound right-hander at Yavapai Junior College in Prescott and Ryan Stoneberg, a 6-3, 190-pound right-hander from Lassen Junior College in Susanville, Calif. for next season.

The two will join four other high school players in 1996: middle infielder Mike Meyers of Sabino, outfielder Keith Regina of Salpointe Catholic and pitchers Mike Hessman, a right-hander, and Tony Milo, a left-hander.
