The president of Sigma Kappa sorority, 1125 N. Vine Ave., called police Wednesday morning when she found the front lawn covered in dead mice, chocolate syrup and a white powdery substance.

Also written in shaving cream on the sidewalk on the east side of the building was, "Don't fuck with the order."

The president of Sigma Kappa said she thought pledges from Kappa Alpha fraternity, 906 N. 1st Ave., might be responsible for the damage. UAPD Sgt. Brian Seastone was contacted because he is an adviser for the fraternity.

Seastone said he was told pledges had poured the mice, chocolate and white powdery substance on the lawn and written on the sidewalk. He said there would be a meeting soon where those pledges responsible would be identified.

Sigma Kappa does not wish to press charges but wants the Greek Council to handle the situation.

Police Beat is compiled from official University of Arizona Police Department records.
