A 19-year-old student was arrested early Friday morning in his Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall room for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

An officer responding to an unrelated call at the hall arrested Henry King when he noticed a strong smell of burning marijuana coming from his third-floor room.

The officer said he could hear someone coughing in the room and could see through the window of the room a person cleaning out a pipe.

When King stuck his head out the window he saw the officer and admitted to smoking marijuana in his room. Upon investigation police found King had a outstanding warrant for his arrest on another charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

King was transported to Pima County Jail for processing.
