Police responded to a report Thursday of a naked man wearing a cowboy hat masturbating on a bus stop bench at North Highland Avenue and East Sixth Street.

When police arrived they found Andrew Mellor, of the 2000 block of East Tenth Street, sitting with his pants pulled down to his ankles, masturbating. Police said when Mellor saw them, he quickly pulled up his pants. He said he had been drinking and was on his way home.

Mellor was taken to Pima County Jail for processing.

A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon for criminal trespass after he was seen in Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall.

Police arrested Louis Chlumak after residents of the hall identified him as the man they saw loitering in the basement near the vending machines. Chlumak, who said he is staying with friends at a local apartment, was warned Wednesday by police when he was caught in the hall.

Chlumak is not a UA student and was carrying an Arizona State University identification card. Chlumak said he was arrested in February 1994 for trespassing in Coronado Residence Hall.

Chlumak was cited and field-released.

Police arrested two men Feb. 27, for indecent exposure and criminal nuisance after they were seen urinating in public and stealing a keg of beer out of a delivery truck.

Michael York, 29, and Joshua Sheehan, 23, both of a general delivery address, were arrested at 11:37 p.m. in the alley behind 1800 E. First St., standing next to a keg of beer they had just stolen out of the back of a beer delivery truck.

The men admitted to stealing the beer keg out of the truck, which was left unlocked.

They were taken to Pima County Jail for processing.

Three bicycles were reported stolen Thursday from various areas around campus.

A $930 Specialized Stump Jumper mountain bicycle was stolen from the area around Old Main.

The owner said he locked the bicycle with a cable lock to a parking block at 9:30 a.m. and when he returned at 12:15 p.m. the bicycle was missing.

A Huffy men's mountain bicycle was stolen from a gated area at Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall.

The victim said she locked the bicycle with a U-lock to a rack at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. When she returned at 10 a.m. Thursday, it was missing.

Police believe the thief may be a former resident of the hall who still has a key.

A student reported her Raleigh ten-speed bicycle was stolen sometime between Feb. 24 and Thursday from racks at Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall.
