A 31-year-old student was arrested Tuesday night in the Main Library when another student identified him as a man he saw masturbating in a men's bathroom.

Miguel Angel Echevarria, of the 4000 block of East Bellevue Avenue, was arrested for public sexual indecency after he was found in the library and identified by the victim.

The victim said he was studying on the fifth floor of the library when he noticed a man staring at him. He said when he went to the restroom, Echevarria followed him and began masturbating outside the bathroom stall the victim was in.

The victim said Echevarria masturbated for about a minute and left when the victim exited the stall.

Echevarria denied the charges. He was taken to UAPD for processing and released.
