The Tucson Amigos outdoor soccer team of the USISL lost two games this last week to open their season.

The Amigos lost 3-1 to the San Diego Top Guns Saturday and 2-1 last Friday night to Inland Empire in California.

Inland scored first in the 20th minute on a long shot that found its way over the head of Amigo goalie Wayne Seaber into the corner of the net. Five minutes into the second half, Inland Empire scored again to make the score 2-0. Ledge Ledwith found the net for the Amigos at the 20-minute mark of the second half to narrow the gap.

Amigo starters Peter Orona, Demetry Panayl and Zach Pace all missed the games but should return from the injured list for the Amigos home opener Friday at 8 p.m. against the Las Vegas QuickSilver and Saturday against the Colorado Stampede. The first 500 children will receive a free sombrero Friday. All youth players will be admitted for $1 Saturday.
