Monday, June 133

A 25-year-old man who gave the name Nraci Cortez, address unknown, was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespassing. He was discovered walking east on East First Street carrying a VCR soon after 3:30 p.m., when a burglary had been reported at the Delta Gamma sorority house, 1448 E. First St. He was transported to the UA Police Department and booked at the Pima County Jail under the name John Doe, as he had no identification.

Francis J. Hill, 55, of East Hedrick Street, reported the theft of her 1986 Chevrolet Blazer. Hill told police she locked and parked the vehicle at East First Street and North Vine Avenue at approximately 6:50 p.m. and found it missing when she returned at 8:30 p.m. The parking lot lights were reportedly not in operation at the time of the incident.

Douglas C. Brown, 20, of East Fort Lowell Road, reported the theft of his blue 1991 Jeep Wrangler from the southwest corner of West Enke Drive and North Warren Avenue sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The case was reported to the UA Police Department and Tucson Police Department for assistance in locating the vehicle.

Tuesday, June 144

Joseph M. McReynolds, 20, of East Ninth Street, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and ignoring a traffic control device when he drove a red Toyota northbound across East Sixth Street onto North Park Avenue where traffic is prohibited. He was cited and transported to the Pima County Jail.

Wednesday, June 155

Joe A. Jones, 53, of East Miles Street, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license and driving under the influence of alcohol. His black pickup truck was observed at approximately 11:50 p.m. traveling unsafely from one lane to another, and weaving on East Speedway Boulevard at North Cherry Avenue. He was arrested and booked at the Pima County Jail.

Thursday, June 166

Caleb N. Brown, 21, of East Eighth Street, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped on North Park Avenue at East Sixth Street for failure to obey a traffic-control device. Police discovered two film containers containing what appeared to be marijuana residue. He was cited and released at the scene.

Lee D. Jackson, 24, of South Fourth Avenue, was arrested and charged with probation violation after police discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Sierra Vista and Cochise County. He was stopped at 12:35 a.m. on North Campbell Avenue at East Sixth Street for driving with no rear lights on his vehicle.

Saturday, June 188

Kenneth R. Vasquez, 21, of North Alvernon Way, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped for driving through a bicycle path on the 1200 block of East University Boulevard. He was arrested at 12:01 a.m., cited at UAPD and released.
