- The UA men's basketball team plays the University of Oregon in McKale Center at 6:30 p.m.
- The UA men's and women's diving teams play the Pacific 10 Conference Championships at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. Competition lasts all day.
- "Introduction to the Internet," a computer workshop, is in the Science-Engineering Library, Room 311, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The International Student Association and the Center for International Students and Scholars present "Islamic Fundamentalism: Reality vs. Rhetoric," a panel discussion on the Mall from noon to 1 p.m. The discussion is moderated by Charles Smith, hea d of the Near Eastern Studies Department.
- "Symbolism and Controversy in Contemporary Art," a lecture by David Rubin, contemporary art curator of the Phoenix Museum of Art, is in the College of Architecture Auditorium at 7 p.m.
- Campus legislative budget hearings will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Senior Ballroom. Tucson representatives Democrat George Cunningham and Republican Winifred Hershberger will host the open forum for students and faculty to talk to legislators a bout the state budget for the 1996-97 fiscal year.
- Gallagher Theatre has a midnight special showing "Brazil" through tomorrow. Tickets are $2.50.
