An employee at the UA-owned Campbell Farms, 4101 N. Campbell Ave., called police Monday morning after finding multiple acts of vandalism to UA vehicles.

Between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, someone smashed 11 windows and the driver's side mirror on a 1983 UA Chevrolet van parked on the premises. The side window of a Case front-end loader was also shattered.

Police reports indicate two golf clubs were found north of the van and a fist-sized rock was recovered from the vehicle's back seat.

Someone also removed the loader's hydraulic dipstick and the gasoline tank's cap. A 3-foot-long wooden board was found in the loader's cab.

The employee reported seeing no suspicious people in the area prior to leaving work Friday.

At 12:22 a.m., the man approached an employee at the circulation desk. The employee told the man it was too late to check out the journals because the computers had already been deactivated for the evening.

The man then went to the exit desk to talk to a library supervisor by phone. Police reports indicate the man hung up on the supervisor, snipped the phone wire and ran from the building with the journals.

The stolen items are valued at $250.

The club was hiking near milepost 10 on East Redington Road Saturday night when they heard unknown persons playing music and firing random gunshots.

The following morning, the club hikers found the camp abandoned and the extinguishers shot.

The fire extinguishers were returned to Risk Management and Safety.

Someone stole a student's black Miski bicycle and its U-lock from racks outside the Architecture building, 1040 N. Olive Drive, between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.
