University police were called to Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave., at 10:25 p.m. after a student reported a fight in the building.

Officers arrived to find two students waiting at the front desk, one of whom had scratches on his neck and a damaged pair of glasses.

He told officers he was not a resident of the hall and had come to exchange class notes with the other student.

As they were entering the resident's dorm room, the victim heard the other student tell his roommate, "I'm going to kill you." The roommate then left the room.

When the victim tried to leave the room, the other student blocked his way and began slapping the victim's arms to get him to wrestle, police reports stated.

Despite the visitor's requests to stop, the resident wrestled him into a choke hold until the victim couldn't speak and almost passed out.

Reports indicate the victim told police he was unsure if the resident was been threatening or joking when he told his roommate, "I'm going to kill you," especially during the choke hold.

Although the victim complained of a strong headache and elbow pains, paramedics confirmed that no hospitalization was necessary.

The other student confirmed the victim's story, but said that he meant no harm and just wanted to "tap out."

Police reports indicate the victim told officers he did not want to press charges and then went home. The other student went to the Student Recreation Center to "work out."

A female student sought revenge against an unknown male who allegedly verbally harassed her whenever the two met on campus.

At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the man passed the student for the fourth time on the sidewalk by North Cherry Avenue. He said, "Nice tits," and continued walking.

The student turned around and yelled, "What the fuck is your problem? This isn't the first time you've done this crap." The man then laughed.

Police reports indicate the student then ran behind him and threw a full 32-ounce Thirstbuster drink on his back.

Afterwards, he said, "I'll leave you alone."

"You'd fucking better," she replied.

Police reports stated the harassment victim described the man as looking "like a chipmunk."

A female student called police Tuesday after items were stolen from her bag at the Medical College, 1501 N. Campbell Ave.

Between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., someone took her wallet and a portable radio when the student left her bag unattended.

Two bicycles were stolen from campus-area racks over the past week.

Between 12:45 p.m. and 3:25 p.m., someone took a men's Specialized Rockhopper bike from the TV room in Sigma Nu fraternity, 1402 N. Cherry Ave.

In a separate incident, someone took a green Magna 16-speed mountain bicycle from racks east of Park Student Center, 615 N. Park Ave., sometime between 5 p.m. Feb. 15 and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Campus groundskeepers called police Wednesday after finding a headstone in the 1000 block of East South Campus Drive. The headstone belongs to Annie L. Brown, who died in 1946. Brown would have been 116-years old last Wednesday

Employees of the Evergreen Cemetery, 3105 N. Oracle Rd., where Brown is buried, picked up the headstone from police headquarters.
