'Wildcat' article shows lack of humility

Editor:

Regarding the article, "Spaceship America's video trash" (Feb. 29), it seems that Mr. Roig has finally traded his integrity as a journalist for the principles of a stockholder. A journalist has no right attempting to discredit books he chooses not to read. Mr. Roig's research is the equivalent of a third grader reading the back cover for his book report.

I extend the invitation to Mr. Roig to leave the shelter of his television, his campus and his intellectual coffee shop debates about society, and join us all in the untelevised world, the one that he deems unworthy of both his concern and everyone else's. He should go back to movie reviews and leave the social commentary to those that have the humility to take part. Mr. Roig, your apathy toward the world and your irritation at those who challenge the establishment will do you well in Corporate America. I hope you do succeed, and then I hope you get laid off.

Sincerely,

Michael Montagna
