Police reports indicate the resident's ex-girlfriend came to the his apartment at 7:27 p.m. and the two began to argue over their past relationship.

The resident told the police the woman began to hit him during the argument and caused a small cut beneath his left eye when she grabbed him and ripped his shirt.

University police and the Tucson Fire Department closed off the Chemistry and Biological Sciences Building, 1340 E. University Blvd., and the Old Chemistry building, 1306 E. University Blvd., Friday after custodians found a gaseous substance emanating from a container in CBS Room 109.

At 4:37 a.m., the TFD hazardous materials team arrived and found a canister of "chlorate liquid" had become unsealed. Reports indicate chlorate liquid evaporates into chlorine gas.
