- Gallagher Theatre shows "Stand By Me" today and tomorrow at midnight. Tickets are $2.50.
- The School of Music and Dance presents a performance by Cher Fox, soprano, at 8 p.m. in Crowder Hall. Janet George performs violin at 7:30 p.m. in Holsclaw Hall.
- The Union Gallery hosts a reception for "Images of the Holocaust," a black-and-white photo exhibit from 5 to 7 p.m.
- The University Activities Board and UA Eye on Diversity Club present the second annual photography contest exhibit, "Eye on Diversity" in the Rotunda Gallery through April 19. The Rotunda Gallery, open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is loc ated on the Student Union's third floor.
- The Study Abroad Program has a meeting for its Summer in Greece Program at noon in Student Union Room 283.
- UA English Professor John Harmon McElroy speaks on "Three Meanings of Culture, and American Culture" as part of an Arizona Quarterly symposium at 10 a.m. in the Dining Room of the Swede Johnson Alumni Foundation Building.
- Homero Aridjis, environmentalist and author, speaks about Mexico's environmental future at 7 p.m. in the Student Union's Senior Ballroom.
- The departments of systems and industrial engineering and electrical and computer engineering present "Introduction to the Hierarchical Approach to Compression for Data Storage," a seminar by John Kieffer, at 2 p.m. in Engineering Room 301.
