There are a few places on earth where one could say they would love to play a few rounds of golf.

Hawaii has to be one of them.

Competing in the Rainbow Wahine Golf Tournament in Kaneohe, Hawaii, March 26-28, the Arizona women's golf team looks to build on its win last week at the Fairfield Invitational in Baton Rouge, La. The women will be playing the 5,937-yard, par 72 Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course.

In its first-place finish at the Fairfield last week, Arizona set new tournament team records, including a low 36-hole score of 588 which was previously held by San Jose State (592). They set a low 54-hole score of 884, breaking a mark also held by the Spartans (888).

The fifth-ranked Wildcats will face a field of 21 teams including Colorado, Idaho, Long Beach State and Oklahoma. A team from Japan will also compete in the tournament.

UA freshman Maria Baena is gunning for her third tournament victory this year. Currently ranked fourth in the country, the native of Pereiva, Columbia was five-under-par at the Fairfield to capture her second tournament win.

As the first Arizona golfer to win a tournament title since Leta Lindley tied for first at the 1994 Pacific 10 Conference championships, Baena has finished in the top 10 in five of six tournaments.

Sophomore Heather Graff and freshman Krissy Register will also be competing for the Wildcats. The 13th-ranked Graff has placed in the top 10 in three of four tournaments, finishing fourth at the Fairfield.

Register placed seventh at the Fairfield to gain her third top-10 finish on the year. Register is averaging 75.42 per round, and owns a round low of 70.

Senior Jeanne Anne Krizman and sophomore Christina Tollerton round out Arizona's roster.
