- The UA Commission on the Status of Women presents "Sexual Harassment 1996: Scholarly Definitions and Everyday Realities," a videoconference on sexual harassment, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Arizona Health Sciences Center's DuVal Auditorium. A campus panel discussion follows the conference from 1 to 2 p.m.
- Education by Example, a recycling organization, piles unrecycled material on the Mall as part of its third annual polystyrene demonstration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The demonstration is held to show the lack of recycling in the Student Union.
- The College Republicans host a visit from Secretary of State Jane Dee Hull, who speaks on "A Look at Arizona's Political Forces From The Inside," at 7 p.m. in Economics Room 111.
- The Libertarian Students and NORML Club sponsor a meeting with guests from the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws at 5:30 p.m. in Math building Room 402.
- The UA Museum of Art hosts an artbreak at 12:15 p.m., when exhibiting artists Tori Arpad, Analee Lively and Sandra Marie will talk about their works.
- The political science department sponsors Michel Guimond, member of the Canadian House of Commons, speaking on "The Evolution of the Sovereignst Movement in Quebec" from 12 to 1 p.m. in Social Sciences Room 332.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology holds Introduction to the Internet, a computer workshop, in Science-Engineering Library Room 311 from 4 to 6 p.m.
