"And the Academy Award for best picture goes to... 'Braveheart!'"

My heart sank. It is the on-campus movie I walked out of an hour into, last Tuesday night, on account of the excessive violence.

I am disappointed the Academy has bestowed this prestigious award to a movie that explicitly exhibits stabbing, decapitations and overall brutality. It does nothing to wage the war in America against increasingly harsh acts of violence.
