A student employee in the Administration building, 1401 E. University Blvd., called police after he was verbally harassed by a Tucson man Wednesday.

At 4 p.m., someone approached the employee and began shouting at him and "called him a 'faggot,' 'chickenshit' and challenged him to 'step outside,'" police reports stated. The victim's restraining order against the suspect had recently expired.

Police reports indicate the victim is romantically involved with a female employee who had an earlier relationship with the suspect. The suspect was reportedly jealous of the new relationship.

Officers advised the victim to obtain another restraining order.

A University of Arizona employee at the Main Gate building, 888 N. Euclid Ave., called police at 4:55 p.m. Thursday to report a suspicious man who entered her work area and asked for the time and then loitered in the area.

Officers arrived and found the man on the walkway between the building and the Main Gate Garage.

Police reports indicate he told officers he had no reason to be there and said he often went to the Main Gate building before going to work in a local restaurant.

The man was voluntarily transported to university police headquarters and photographed as part of an ongoing investigation. He was then warned for criminal trespassing and driven to his workplace.

University police arrested two Tucson residents on DUI charges last week.

Heather C. Riggle, 20, of the 200 block of East Hadley, was traveling northbound on North Park Avenue and ran a stop sign while turning right on to East Sixth Avenue, almost striking three pedestrians.

She later failed field sobriety tests and two Intoxilyzer screenings registered her blood alcohol concentration at .204 and .188, respectively.

She was cited for DUI, DUI with a BAC above .10, and minor operating a vehicle with alcohol in body and then released.

In a separate case, Eric D. Ziggler, 21, of the 1900 block of West La Osa Drive, ran a stop sign at North Ash Avenue and East Sixth Street.

After officers stopped him, he failed field sobriety tests and later registered a BAC of .189 and .173.

He was cited for DUI, DUI with a BAC above .10, and released to a friend.

Matthew C. Wolf, 19, a resident of La Paz Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., was arrested on alcohol charges at Pizza City, 1145 E. Sixth St.

Police reports indicate passing officers saw Wolf drinking in a group of what appeared to be underage people.

The waitress told police Wolf had provided her with identification, which officers discovered to be false.

He was later arrested for minor in possession of alcohol and using false identification to obtain liquor and released at the scene.

The others in the group were not cited in the incident.

Between 9:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, someone stole a Mongoose mountain bicycle secured by a U-lock to racks north of the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, 1118 E. Fourth St.

The stolen items are valued at $285.
