- Spring Fling begins today at 4 p.m. on the Mall. Tickets at the gate are $5 for general admission and $4 for students with ID. If purchased at Fry's, tickets are $4 for general admission and $3 with ID.
- The UA baseball team plays University of Southern California at 7 p.m. on Sancet Field.
- Sid Yakowitz presents "Symbolic Computation: A Primer and An Overview" in a systems and industrial engineering seminar at 2 p.m. in Engineering Room 301.
- The UA College of Medicine Program in Integrative Medicine presents "Why is Alternative Medicine Alternative," a public lecture, at 7 p.m. in the Arizona Health Sciences Center's DuVal Auditorium. There is a $10 fee for the lecture.
- The School of Music and Dance presents a Jazz Ensemble concert featuring UA alumnus trombonist Ed Ulman at 8 p.m. in Crowder Hall. Katherine Creath plays the saxophone in a master's recital in Holsclaw Hall.
- The Department of Mathematics sponsors a UNIX/Utilities workshop at 2 p.m. in Math Room 102. The discussion focuses on the World Wide Web.
- Olga Yiparaki, of Agnes Scott College, speaks on "Partitions and Ultrafilters" at 4 p.m. in Math Room 501. The lecture includes an overview of Ramsey theory, some recent partition results, and their connections to ultrafilters.
