Joe McLean has been an exemplary student/athlete while attending the University of Arizona. He has done well academically, and his basketball career speaks for itself. He will be very successful in the future either in the business world or playing basketball somewhere, possibly overseas.

Your cartoon depicting a bleak future for Joe was ridiculous, cheap, sophomoric and way below what we would expect from a student newspaper of some quality... many on your staff agree.

We can certainly arrange a meeting with Joe and the cartoonist in my office if he would have the courage to come forward and discuss this in more detail. I await the call.
