A female resident of Apache-Santa Cruz Hall, 1420 E. Fifth St., called police at 5:45 a.m. Thursday after arriving at her room and finding an unknown male there.
She reportedly screamed and he fled the scene. No signs of forced entry were found and the door was reportedly locked at the time.
Nothing was taken from the room, and officers later found a state identification card belonging to "Allison Henry" on the floor.
Police reports indicate Henry is not affiliated with the UA. Police are investigating the incident.
Two Tucson men were arrested for weapons and motor vehicle violations after officers smelled burnt marijuana in the area of East First Street and North Martin Avenue.
Officers stopped a 1965 Volkswagen bug driven by A. C. Henry, 18, of the 1500 block of West Mohave Road, but were unable to find any marijuana.
Police did confiscate a Davis Industries P-380 semi-automatic pistol and associated ammunition from the vehicle's passenger, Oscar C. Pintor, 18, of the 17500 block of West Waterman Road. Pintor was cited for carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle. Henry was cited for driving on a suspended license.
A UA student was arrested on marijuana charges Thursday evening after passing officers smelled marijuana fumes in the area of East First Street and North Cherry Avenue.
Officers found Jeffery M. Morter, 19, a resident of Coronado Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., sitting in a smoke-filled 1990 Volkswagen Jetta.
Officers confiscated multiple pipes and a baggie containing a green leafy substance.
He was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana and released at the scene.
Someone called university police Tuesday after seeing two males break a car's window in Lot 2025 at the corner of East Speedway Boulevard and North Cherry Avenue.
At 1:48 p.m., the witness reportedly saw the two suspects shatter the driver's side window of a parked 1989 Honda Accord. The suspects then saw the witness, got back into their 1983 Lincoln Town Car, and drove across the parking lot.
As the car moved away, the witness memorized its license number and notified police.
The vehicle left the lot before police arrived. Responding officers found that a 1984 Toyota truck's driver's side window was also broken and its stereo housing was on the floor.
Police broadcast an attempt-to-locate bulletin for the suspects' vehicle, but the car was not seen.
The case was forwarded to detectives for follow-up.
