I wish to thank you and my good friend, Mr. John Keisling, for his wonderful insights he has brought us the last two years. His column April 10, "Incest perverts ideal of love," has brought up another important, but often forgotten, issue. Most times people end up discussing the marriage of cousins when this type of human relationship is talked about, but sibling relationships are just as important. If siblings are permitted, legally or morally, to reproduce, our human population will cease and desist.
The human population will also be overcome with tremendous amounts of birth defects, and general human decadence will occur. And that's just if they reproduce. As for controlled sexual relationships between siblings, this is outrageously disgusting and completely unnatural. It is to my understanding that no other animal on Earth has any type of sexual contact with its siblings. So why would anyone even consider the very idea that it is an acceptable form of behavior for humans? In my opinion, incest is no different from homosexuality, which also is a very unnatural, disgusting and unacceptable form of behavior.
Once again, thank you for bringing Mr. Keisling's well-formed ideas to the table. I have found his points of view to be refreshing in the light of all the other students who tend to just whine and complain about petty issues.
