- Amnesty International and the Journalism Department present a conversation with Dapo Olorunyomi, self-exiled editor in chief of The News of Lagos, Nigeria from 11 to 11:50 a.m. in Economics Room 110. Olorunyomi attends a potluck on the Mall with human rights and environmental activists from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
- The UA women's golf team plays the Pac-10 Championships from 8 to 10 a.m at Raven Golf Course, 9777 E. Sabino Greens Drive.
- Writers at Work presents a fiction reading by Cathi Hanauer, an MFA graduate at the University of Arizona, at 8 p.m. in the Modern Languages Auditorium.
- The University Activities Board presents an alternative punk rock concert by Weird Lovemakers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cellar.
- The School of Music and Dance presents a UA Steel Band Concert with guest soloist Ray Holman, a Trinidadian steel band composer, at 8 p.m. in Crowder Hall.
- Trudy Wilner Stack, curator for the Center for Creative Photography, discusses William Christenberry's art at 12:15 p.m. in the UA Museum of Art, next to the art building.
- The Mexican American Studies and Research Center presents "Mexico in English-language Literature," a brown bag lecture by Daniel Cooper-AlarcĒn, assistant professor of English, at noon in the MASRC Conference Room on the third floor of the Douglass Building.
