- Serge Dedina, of the department of geography and regional development, gives a slide presentation on undergraduate environmental study abroad opportunities in Baja California, Mexico with the School for Field Studies at noon in Harvill Room 435D.
- The Committee on African American Studies and Amnesty International sponsor a reception for exiled Nigerian journalist Dapo Olorunyomi at 3:30 p.m. in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center.
- The Department of East Asian Studies and the Critical Languages Program presents "Korean People, Culture and Lifestyles," from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Forbes Room 229.
- The physics department presents "Chilling Experiments in Physics" as part of the 1996 Daughters on Campus Day at 9 a.m. in Physics and Atmospheric Sciences Room 201.
- The School of Music and Dance presents Heather Collins playing viola at 7:30 p.m. in a doctoral qualifying recital at Holsclaw Hall.
- The UA Dance Ensemble presents UA Dance Spring Concert at 8 p.m. in the Gittings Dance Theatre. The ensemble also performs at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students.
- James White, Executive Vice President of Modular Mining Systems Inc., presents "A System Approach to Open Pit Mine Management," a systems and industrial engineering seminar at 2 p.m. in Engineering Room 301.
