David Hodges, president of the African American Student Association, holds up the remnants of a T-shirt in front of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center last night. The T-shirt, which depicted an African American man as a "pimp" and a scantily clad African American woman a "hooker," was created by a Zeta Beta Tau fraternity member using a 1970s album cover. The shirt was designed without the consent of the fraternity's president, R. Troy Zien. Zien and Zeta Beta Tau's secretary and treasurer united with members of the African American community to destroy the T-shirts.
