An employee at the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reported finding that someone had ejaculated on the floor of a third-floor men's restroom Wednesday.
The employee told police he entered the restroom at 11:50 a.m. and saw a man facing a mirror, appearing to be blowing his nose. When the employee greeted the man, he did not respond. Instead, he turned toward the door and left the room while dragging a pi ece of paper along the floor with his foot.
The employee told police that as he went to the urinal, he noticed a trail of spots of liquid on the floor leading from a stall door to the sink. The employee said there was the "odor of semen coming off the liquid."
The employee attempted to confront the man but could not find him. Police searched the library but also could not locate the suspect, however, the employee said he thought he would be able to help police compose a composite sketch.
Four men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested Wednesday after police found them sleeping in a boarded-up UA-owned building.
At 10:35 p.m., a Community Service Officer was checking the building at 903 E. Sixth St. when he heard noises inside. Other officers arrived, entered the building, and found four people sleeping under blankets and sleeping bags, and a fifth person hiding in a bathroom.
Joseph R. Withem, 20, of New Orleans, La.; Jason F. Woodward, 20, of Albuquerque, N.M.; William S. Gonzales, 21, of Fresno, Calif.; and James M. Cox, 27, of Wollaston, Mass. were cited for second-degree criminal trespass and released. The 17-year-old was booked into Pima County Juvenile Center on a charge of second-degree criminal trespass.
Police also found five other males in the building at 7:08 p.m. the same day. They were verbally warned against criminal trespass and released without being charged.
Two more men were arrested Tuesday for trespassing at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house, 1420 N. Vine Ave.
The house was closed, due to fire-code violations, and had signs posted at all doors which state that trespassers will be prosecuted.
A Community Service Officer saw the two men leaving the building at 7:51 p.m. When police officers arrived, the men said they'd seen the signs on the doors but did hadn't believed them.
Timothy R. Webb, 20, a resident of the house, and Frederick S. Schneider II, 21, of Chandler, were both cited for third degree criminal trespass and released at the scene. Police also forwarded the matter to the Dean of Students Office for code of conduct proceedings.
Another student was arrested Monday night after entering the fraternity house despite the signs.
An employee reported that four wooden slates had been removed from a door in the old Engineering building, 1127 E. North Campus Dr.
The employee called police at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday and said he was walking through the doorway when a metal air vent fell from the door, hitting him on the back of the leg. The four slates holding the vent in place had been removed and placed further down the hall.
The door is to a storage room, although a sign on the door reads, "Nuclear research center." Nothing was reported stolen. The date that the slates were removed is unknown.
