Someone stole approximately $100 worth of chicken, pork and beef products from a freezer inside a woman's home. The victim left her home the morning of Jan. 7, when to her knowledge the meat was still in the freezer. But when she returned at 3:30 p.m. Jan . 8, the meat was gone, police reports stated. Police found a window frame bent out where Champaign police believe the thief entered the residence. Footprints were also found in the snow leading up to the window.

Three separate greenery thefts within four days were reported at Penn State College.
First, a university employee reported the top half of an evergreen tree near West Park Avenue was removed sometime the night of Nov. 29. The tree is worth $300.
Next, members of Phi Sigma Delta Sigma fraternity reported a 9-foot evergreen tree was chopped down from the front lawn and stolen Dec. 1. The value of that tree is unknown.
Finally, another employee reported a potted plant was stolen from the Warnock Commons lobby sometime during the night of Dec. 2. The plant is worth $100.

Two fire extinguishers were discovered missing from South Wonders Residence Hall at Michigan State University after a number of residents reportedly used them during a fight in the hallway.
A graduate adviser in the hall told police six extinguishers originally were missing after the fight, which occurred between midnight and 4:45 a.m. Dec. 2. Four of the extinguishers, which had been discharged, were later found.
