- The Associates of Art History and the Art Department presents "Frida Kahlo's Diaries," a lecture by Sarah Lowe, independent curator, art historian and author at 7 p.m. in the College of Architecture Auditorium.
- The Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Southern Arizona holds a public forum in Room 325 of the UA College of Pharmacy, at the corner of Mabel and Warren.
- David Sprayberry, a UA alumnus, will discuss "What's Really Out There? Searching for Hidden Galaxies" at 4 p.m. in Steward Observatory Room N-210.
- Gallagher Theatre shows "To Die For" though Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. "Grease" will be shown as the Midnight Special through tomorrow. Admission is $2.50.
- Teaching and Teacher Education doctoral candidate Mike Schmoker discusses "Toward a Foundation for Results: Principles that Promote School Improvement" at 1 p.m. in Education Room 312.
- English doctoral candidate Sharon S. Suzuki-Martinez will discuss "Tribal Selves: Subversive Identity in Asian-American and Native American Literature" from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Modern Languages Room 445F.
- Kim Yasuda, exhibition artist and instructor of art at the University of California at Santa Barbara, presents a slide overview of her exhibition installation, "Hereditary Memory," at 5:30 p.m. in the Center for Creative Photography Gallery.
