A man arrested by Tucson police Monday was discovered to have four UA award information sheets.

At 6:53 p.m., university police were called to the scene of a Tucson Police Department felony warrant arrest at a Texaco station, 3901 E. 22nd St. A man known only as "Ray Johnson" was found there with University of Arizona "Request for Report of Award" sheets describing awards totalling $200,000.

The sheets are used to report awarded funds for research grants. They are used only for informational purposes, and had no cash value.

Johnson told officers he found the sheets in the bottom of a toolbox he purchased from a man named "Andy Robbins," a UA computer lab employee.

No Andy Robbins is listed in the UA directory. The award sheets were placed into evidence.

Police reports indicate that at 5 p.m., a 5-foot-10-inch black male, 35-40 years old, with a black "afro" and beard approached her from behind.

Five minutes later, when he returned for the wallet, which contained credit cards, an Arizona driver's license, a UA student ID and $25 in cash, it was gone.

The student then cancelled the credit cards and bank cards, but not before undisclosed funds were withdrawn from both Bank of America and BankOne using the stolen cards.
