Coming off the biggest win in her career - a three-set win over UCLA's Keri Phebus - Arizona's All-American, Vicky Maes is taking her game to the Rolex Intercollegiate Tennis Association Championships in Dallas, Texas.

Maes, ranked sixth in the nation, will compete in the women's singles field, which includes Phebus and 18 of the top 20 national players. Maes defeated Phebus in a come-from-behind, 2 hour and 40 minute match last Saturday, 6-7, 7-5, 6-1.

Maes upped her overall record to 22-4 and 2-0 in the Pacific 10 Conference with her victory over Phebus. Two of the those loses came at the hands of Phebus earlier this year, and until Saturday's win Maes was winless against Phebus in her career.

"They will probably play each other ten more times this year and so far everyone of their matches has been a battle. Vicky is way too good of a player for her not to beat Keri, it will be exciting next time they play," UCLA's head coach Bill Zima said.

Just a sophomore, Maes has solidified herself in the No. 1 singles and doubles position on the team and will be the only tennis player - man or woman - to represent Arizona at the Rolex Championships. Maes is currently ranked 6th, her highest ranking to date, but due to her victory over Phebus, she stands to move up in the national rankings when they are released March 5.

The tournament starts today and runs through Sunday.
