Well, here's a letter which I'm sure will get many people in a bind. I am absolutely disgusted with some of the things I have read in the Daily Wildcat.

First, a few weeks ago the "f-word" was printed. When did it become OK to print words like this? This absolutely shows a total lack of common decency. It may sound "cool" and "tough" to say such words; in reality, people sound like pure trash and just plain stupid. If you don't want children to use these words, then keep them to yourself. A point can be taken without the use of bad language.

Second, I came to the University of Arizona to get a higher education, not to learn how to have an orgasm. Keep sex talk and other sexual information in Playboy. If you want to learn more about sex, then watch a talk show, read porno magazines or start a support group.

Third, a mascot is supposed to show pride and spirit. If you want to name a team "Honkies," go ahead. Someone, somewhere is going to be offended by something. You can't please everyone. Have you all heard any controversy about the Florida State Seminoles? No. Let me explain why. FSU was the first to start the "Tomahawk Chop." FSU wanted to make sure they were not offending the Seminole Indians, so representatives from FSU went to the Seminoles, and the representatives found a nation which is extremely proud to be a symbol. The Seminoles feel they are represented well and are honored. FSU gave the Seminole chief and tribe members tickets to a football game. The Seminoles came in full dress with pride, and watched the game at the 50-yard line. Now, isn't pride and spirit more fun than complaining?

Finally - Ms. Fillerup, I would seriously like to suggest that you start to listen to what the conservatives have to stay, and form your own opinion rather than getting your so-called facts from other liberals. You probably only vote liberal because your parents are liberal. The "anti-woman" Rush Limbaugh loves women more than you do. Most women don't like him because he speaks the truth, and many women can't handle the truth. Learn when Rush is joking and serious. He is for women's rights, but these women are atheists who have no respect for the Bible or real women.

Morality is what Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh believe in, unlike liberals like you. Don't vote liberal, vote for the best choice. Many liberals probably think Republicans are trying to get rid of school lunch programs for the poor. Fact € Republicans are trying to take federal power away and give the states the power to decide for themselves about lunch programs. So, Republicans aren't anti-poor; they think since states are in charge of their own education system, why shouldn't they be in charge of programs within the system?

I hope you've noticed the facts in this letter, so before you (Ms. Fillerup) write something, get some fact, because opinions don't cut it. Obviously I am conservative, but I at least listen to a liberal's point of view since neither side is correct on everything. Morality is a dying trait, and it may be the death of this country. Why fight for every little thing when we all could be dead tomorrow?

Making a difference is one thing, but blowing things out of proportion is another. Soon, laws will be made protecting every little detail and all we can do is sit and breathe. Oh, wait, that takes oxygen out of the atmosphere and puts in carbon dioxide. Well, death seems to be the only way to solve every problem. Enjoy life - it's short enough.
