- Career Services is offering a free workshop on resume writing from 3 to 4 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.
The workshop discuss resume formats and how to make work experiences stand out. Writing a cover sheet and including references will also be discussed.
- Steward Observatory Public Evenings presents Matthias Steinmetz to speak on "The Formation of Galaxies" in the Steward Observatory Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
After the hour-long lecture there is a question and answer period. If the weather permits, those in attendance are invited to view the night sky though the telescope at Steward Observatory's campus station, aided by members of the UA Astronomy Club.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Star Trek First Contact" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
Fact of the Day
Eight years ago today the largest oil spill in the U.S. history occurred after the Exxon Valdez struck Bligh Reef in Alaska's Prince William Sound spilling nearly 11 million gallons of oil.
