A misunderstanding over a parking space led to a dispute between two students Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the UA lot at East University Boulevard and North Cherry Avenue.

A male student told police he had just pulled into a space on the east side of the lot, when a Ford Bronco II pulled up behind him, blocking his car in.

The driver of the Bronco came up to the student's window and yelled "You took my parking space you mother fucker," and made threatening gestures, according to police reports.

The student waited until the Bronco had parked before getting out of his car and taking down the Bronco's license plate number. The driver of the Bronco then called the student "ignorant" and walked toward the Main Library.

The student said he wanted to press charges for disorderly conduct.

Police found the driver of the Bronco, another male student, on the fourth floor of the library. He said he had been waiting for the parking space with his blinker on and that the other student had taken it anyhow.

The Bronco's driver said he went to the student's window to ask if he had seen the blinker. He said the student had shaken his finger at him.

The driver of the Bronco denied using profanity. He said he had taken the student's vehicle information and had called him "ignorant" because he had taken the space.

Police were unable to issue any citations due to a lack of witnesses and the conflicting stories.

A disagreement Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the Park Student Union, 615 N. Park Ave., led to an apparent assault.

A Union supervisor told university police he and a disabled student had an argument and that the student had "rammed" him with his wheelchair.

The supervisor wanted the case turned over to the Dean of Students Office for a code of conduct violation.

No citations have been issued and the incident is still under investigation.

The GT Outpost Trail mountain bicycle was valued at $600. The lock was valued $35.

Another bicycle was also reported stolen from the east side of the hall.

A female student told university police she locked the bicycle Monday at 10 a.m. to a rack with a U-lock. She returned Tuesday at 9 a.m. to discover the bicycle missing, and the U-lock cut and lying on the ground.

The orange GT mountain bicycle was valued at $200.

A UA vehicle parked Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. outside university police headquarters, 1200 E. Lowell St., was discovered to be damaged.

An employee noticed a 2-foot dent along the sliding door of the 1991 Dodge Caravan. Police were unable to contact the driver to whom the vehicle had been assigned.

It was unknown whether the Caravan was damaged by a hit and run accident.

The damage to the Caravan was valued at less than $1,000.

A wallet was taken from a car parked on the west side of Old Main, 1200 E. University Blvd.

A male non-student said he left the wallet on the front seat of the blue Saab for 40 minutes. When he returned, it was missing.

The vehicle was left unoccupied and unlocked.

The black leather wallet's value was unknown. It contained a New Jersey driver license, several credit cards and a video rental card.
