- The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. The laser light show "Psychedelic Hog" features music from the 60s and 70s at 8:30 p.m.; "Lollapalaser II" features music from bands of the last five Lollapalooza tours at 9:30 p.m.; "Metallica II" at 10:45 p.m. and "Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon" at midnight. - The University Activities Board is hosting Comedy Corner in the Memorial Student Union's Cellar at noon. The show consists of original sketches as well as stand-up and improv comedy.
- The UA baseball team plays Stanford University at 7 p.m. today and 1 p.m. tomorrow at Frank Sancet Field.
- The Arizona State Museum is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. tomorrow.
Activities include building plans for the museum, hands-on actives using a prehistoric pump drill and lectures by Hartman Lomawaima and Keith McElroy.
- The Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Association presents "Torch Song Triology" at 4:30 p.m. in the Student Union Rincon Room. Robert Berstein will lecture on "Straight Parents, Gay Children: Keeping Families Together" at 7 p.m. in Modern Languages 350.
A reception for Bernstein will be held in the Modern Languages Lobby at ( p.m.
Fact of the Day
Hamburger sales at fast-food restaurants totaled $39 billion in 1996. McDonalds captured 42 percent of those revenues followed by Burger King with 19 percent. Jack in the Box pulled in 3 percent of the revenues.
