Wildcat welcome home parade has new route

The parade route to today's rally to welcome home the Wildcat men's basketball team has changed, UA News Services said yesterday.

Jeff Harrison, news services information specialist coordinator, said the parade route will start at Tucson International Airport after the Wildcats arrive and head north on South Tucson Boulevard, then east on East Valencia Road, turning north onto Palo Verde Boulevard and continuing on North Alvernon Way. He said the route will then turn west onto East Broadway Road, then continue north on North Campbell Avenue, turn west onto East Enke Drive and go into Arizona Stadium.

The rally will start about noon at Arizona Stadium. Gates open at 11 a.m. and concessions will be available.

Students and the local community are invited to attend the free event.
